PODA organized its 12th annual conference on International Day of Rural Women from 15th to 17^th October, 2019 in Lok Virsa, Islamabad. The theme of the conference was “Synergizing Rural Women Leadership for Rights – Based Development.  The conference was attended by over 3000 rural women from 110 districts of Pakistan. PODA dedicated its 12^th conference on international day of rural women 2019, to the brave women of Kashmir who are facing immense sufferings due to violation of their basic human rights and above all their right to self-determination. The conference is linked with the global vision for improving lives of rural women around the world as October 15 had been declared by the United Nations as the “International Day of Rural Women.
