PODA’s Lahore team with the support of The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Islamabad under the project Reduce Early Marriages to Enhance Gender Equality met with Fiza Shah, Sub Inspector Crime Investigation Agency. Our team shared the details of the project and the amendment we are trying to seek to increase the minimum age of girls from 16 to 18 years. Ms. Fiza Shah discussed the issues they face in solving such cases and emphasized the importance of a correct first information report (FIR) in solving cases related to gender. She appreciated PODA’s efforts and ensured her support for this project.
