On Wednesday 14 February 2024, PODA organized an awareness session in Multan at government girls elementary school located at Union Council Sawaiwala, district Bahawalnager. Ms. Sumera Sattar from PODA facilitated formation of a Health Club of 54 students and two teachers. The girls learnt about the importance of menstrual hygiene and importance of clean washrooms. A similar session was held with rural mothers that emphasised the importance of nutritional food for girls including protein and its various sources from meat and beans. These sessions were conducted as part of PODA’s project “Reduce Early Marriages to enhance gender equality” supported by Royal Norwegian Embassy.
