The staff of PODA Sustainable Agriculture and Climate-Smart Organic Farm, along with the school staff of Zameer Akhter Primary School Khanqa, Chakwal, celebrated Pakistan Independence Day on August 14th with great enthusiasm. The celebration included a series of activities aimed at educating and engaging the youth in environmental conservation and climate action.

One of the key activities was the creation of colorful seed balls by the children, made from paper pulp. These seed balls, containing moringa and fruit tree seeds, were distributed within the community to promote the importance of tree planting and environmental Protection.

An awareness session was also conducted, educating the youth on how climate change is impacting their lives and how they can contribute to mitigating its effects. The session emphasized the role of each individual in combating climate change and creating a sustainable future.

Following the session, the school staff, PODA team, and the youth planted moringa trees together. All participants, including 69 children from the school, took an oath to continue their efforts towards a sustainable future, reinforcing their commitment to environmental conservation.

This event not only celebrated the spirit of Independence Day but also empowered the younger generation to take proactive steps in protecting the environment.
