Community Awareness Session on Reproductive Health, Hygiene and Nutrition in Mianwali

On Wednesday 27 March 2024, PODA under the auspices of its project “Reduce Early Marriages to Enhance Gender Equality”, funded by Royal Norwegian Embassy, Islamabad organized a Community Awareness Session held at Alnoor Public School Kot Chandna, Tehsil Esakhel, Union Council Kot Chandna, District Mianwali. More than 150 participants including more than 100 mother and students of 5th, 6th and 7th classes participated in the session. The session was facilitated by PODA Rural Woman Leader, Mukhtiar Shaheen who highlighted various aspects related to the menstruation management, stereotypes attached with menstruation and on importance of hygiene during menstruation and developing habits to eat nutritious food. She emphasized on the need to get education first and urged the mothers to support their daughters in this task for their daughters’ better future and their role in the development and progress of the country.
