On 13th November 2024, PODA facilitated a hands-on Olive Pickled Training in Chakwal for 30 women from 10 villages. As part of the OliveCulture II Scale-Up project, the training covered olive pickle production, quality control, and marketing, helping participants gain valuable skills.

Led by Italian expert Leila, the workshop focused on using olives best suited to Pakistan’s challenging climate—low rainfall and less fertile soil—while promoting climate-resilient development and sustainable olive farming.

This initiative empowers women and youth, strengthens the olive value chain, and aims to establish a National Olive Brand in Pakistan.
