(December 15,2023) Millennium Education (ME) and Zamir Community School Chakwal have partnered to offer free annual refresher courses and school trips to teachers, with Zamir School providing support through internships, community education experience, and college application reference letters.
Sameena Nazir Executive Director PODA and Sabine Zakir Director of Communications and Outreach the Millennium Education Islamabad signed the MoU at Zamir Community School in Nara Mughlan Chakwal. The Millennium Education is a private independent award-winning and one of the best school systems in Pakistan.
MoU was signed in a special donation ceremony held on the occasion of the 17th death anniversary of Ms Zamir Akhtar, mother of PODA’s founder and Executive director. Zamir Community School in Chakwal is named after her. The donation ceremony included books, school bags, and furniture donated by the Millennium Education Islamabad. PODA supported community school is an indigenous model of Early Childhood Development Education in village Khanqaah in Chakwal, Pakistan. This unique school enrolls children from age 3 and provides high-quality education including awareness about nutrition, climate change, environment, and human rights.
Misbah Nazir, President of Zameer Community School, welcomed guests, students, parents, teachers, and community members. Students presented interesting tablos and skits. A visit to nearby PODA green and organic farm was conducted to educate the chief guests about PODA’s agri-initiatives and organic farming.
