PODA-Pakistan organized a one-day Provincial Consultation on Rural Women’s Participation in Upcoming Local Government Elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Challenges and Opportunities on Monday 13^th December 2021. The consultation was organized at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Commission on Status of Women Peshawar office with the support of the European Union, Election Commission of Pakistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Commission on the Status of Women, and National Endowment for Democracy. The consultation meeting was attended by 35 women and a transgender from 17 districts of KPK to share the opportunities and challenges for women’s political participation in upcoming local government elections in KPK.
