PODA Pakistan’s Commitment to Ending Gender-Based Violence: The Global 16 Days Campaign

PODA kicks off activities to commemorate the International Campaign on 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence from Annual Olive Gala F-9 Park Islamabad today. PODA presented stall on organic olive products in the event as well as implemented activities like letter campaign to end Early Marriages by public to senate to advocate for amendment in existing laws to set 18 year of age as legal minimum age to get married. Letters are widely signed by all walks of life. General public, students, foreigners and media took keen interest in PODA stall activities. PODA has planned variety of events in different program districts in connection to observing 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence.
