PODA & University of Chakwal Jointly Celebrating 8th March, 2024 – International Women’s Day
Friday, 8th March 2024: Potohar Organization for Development Advocacy (PODA) Chakwal celebrated International Women’s Day in collaboration with the University of Chakwal during 10:00am to 12:00pm. Naheeda Abbasi from PODA-Pakistan discussed the theme of International Women’s Day, as key speaker on the topic. Moreover, she elaborated on the significance and history of Women Day .She briefed 45 participants (6 male 39 females), including faculty and students and staff of UOC on the establishment of National and Provincial Commissions on the status of women in Pakistan and role of these commissions for the protection and women and girls .She also highlighted the practical examples of the women empowerment by the efforts of PODA-Pakistan by sharing the Video of the Rural Woman of Punjab.
Dr. Bilal Ahmad, Vice Chancellor of University of Chakwal, appreciated the practical work of PODA for the education and empowerment of women of Pakistan. A delegation of 5 representation from Rural Farmer United, Sui Dhaga Center, Zameer Akhtar School and Climate Smart Agriculture Farm Nara Mughlan also attended this Seminar.
