A day long training activity is organised by PODA team with support of NDI at Lahore on capacity building of rural women leaders to promote votes without violence in Pakistan, 10 rural women leaders including minority, PWD, transgender of district Lahore on 7.9.23 elaborating topics such as significance of vote and CNIC, registration, verification, casting of votes without violence, undue influence with legal implications, redressal mechanism under election act 2017 and other laws, kinds of harassments, cyber crimes, hate speach in election process against women and prevention, mock polling exercise, district voters Education committee, corrupt practices restraining women voters and candidates in electrol process. The training is conducting by Khawaja Zahid Nasim Advocate and Ms Raheema Sultana and in addition deliberations are also expressed by Syeda Nazia Naqvi ex MPA regarding effective inclusion of women in forthcoming elections that without Participation of women and other weaker segments of society, Democracy can not be strengthened. Trainees throughout training remained attentive and responsive. At the end trainees are rewarded with ackomplishment certificates.
